Communicate your new email
You have changed your last name, address, rent, or salary, and you want these changes to be taken into account by the organization of your choice? Use your right to rectify your personal data. The organization must record your modification and notify you of the update of your data.

The definition and explanation of rights are the sole responsibility of the author and cannot replace the texts of European regulations.
The right info
Since August 1, 2018, you can directly exercise your right (as well as your right of access to your data) with the police, gendarmerie, and intelligence services.
In the case of deceased persons, the heirs can demand that the death be considered by the organization and / or that the data be updated. More info here .
On the other hand, there are limitations to your right, either in its application or in the way it is exercised.
Limitations of the right
The right of rectification has two limits. In literary, artistic and journalistic cases, this right does not apply. In the case of data from the National File of Bank and Similar Accounts (FICOBA), the exercise of your right is indirect. Thus, the right is not exercised directly with the persons in charge, but with a magistrate of the CNIL who is responsible for making the necessary corrections concerning you .
How does it work on Dare?
Do you want to receive emails from a company on your new mailbox? On Dare, select this company from the engine of search or your companies in contact, then choose the “right to rectification”. Make sure that you have uploaded an official document proving your identity and then submit your request. You can complete the message sent automatically in your inbox with content specifying your request.
If you continue to receive emails from this company on your old mailbox, your rights have not been taken into account. Before approaching the CNIL to file a complaint , do not hesitate to relaunch the company in question.
